PLUMBING NIGHTMARES!

Spooky Plumbing Stories

Halloween is a chance to dress up as someone else for the night and enjoy a little light-hearted scare. You can pretend to be a princess, a doctor, a pirate, and your favorite superhero.

At Epic Plumbing, we get to dress up as our favorite superheroes every day: plumbers! Plumbers take on tough, sometimes stinky, and important jobs, helping keep your home running smoothly. There are some days, however, that our plumbers have seen things that will frighten you even more than the neighborhood haunted house!

Snaking The Drain

You may have heard of a drain snake, a tool often used to unclog your drains. This plumber’s story takes snaking to a whole new level. When called to the client’s home, they assumed they were dealing with a regular run-of-the-mill clog.

After a few hours of unsuccessful work, they noticed a leak in another room. They cut out a piece of ceiling and revealed a pipe with a snake sticking out of a small crack. As if that weren’t enough to startle you, suddenly, that snake and about 20 of it’s friends came pouring out of the pipe and down into the room.

Needless to say, this was a job for pest control, not plumbers!

Sink Your Teeth into It

As plumbers, we see a lot of things in your pipes that should never have gone down the drain in the first place. The most common culprits being q-tips, tampons, flushable wipes, and even kid’s toys.

This plumber had a unique find one day on the job. While working to unclog a bathroom drain, he was surprised to find a full set of dentures in the pipe! He showed the teeth to the homeowner who gleefully replied “oh! That’s where those went!”

We hope he got a new set of teeth!

All Eyes on You

We all know the feeling of being alone in a room or house you’re unfamiliar with. One plumber was certainly feeling this while on a house call. He was working on the toilet in a very untidy and eerie home and could not shake the feeling that he was being watched.

Eventually, he got up the courage to look around and saw a possum staring straight at him from a shelf on the other side of the bathroom. This is why you should always clean your bathroom, folks!

If you promise not to dump snakes or set possums on us, give Epic Plumbing a call for all your plumbing needs.
